About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our bakery team as a Department Manager. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bakery department.

You will have full accountability for managing stock, maintaining high standards, and driving sales growth. A key focus will be on leading, coaching, and developing your team to meet sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily bakery operations, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service
  • Lead and motivate a team of bakers to achieve sales targets and maintain excellent department standards
  • Monitor stock levels, manage waste, and implement effective rotation routines
  • Drive a culture of teamwork, recognition, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment with direct/indirect leadership experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture
