Network Operations Center Specialist Role

The NOC Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring maximum possible service availability and performance for all products.

You will be responsible for providing support to Technical Support, R&D, Product, and other internal teams, as well as serving as a central hub of communication regarding the status and ongoing events within the network and platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot Cloud Systems and Network platform issues from a server-side perspective.
  • Validate and test all NICE CX products and platforms.
  • Perform routine health checks to ensure quick detection time for service-affecting issues.
  • Respond to alarms, alerts, or abnormal behaviors detected through reactive or proactive monitoring.
  • Utilize Wiki/KnowledgeBase resources.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams for escalated troubleshooting of issues related to NICE CX products and platforms.
  • Maintain current knowledge on new and planned product additions or updates by interfacing with internal product teams.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as IP Monitor, SolarWinds, and BMC.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in duties due to the 24x7x365 operation of the Network Operations Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Information Services, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in technical or support roles within telecommunications, data network, or application server environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of network topologies, Windows server-client environments, and telecommunication environments with a focus on SIP.
  • Understanding of packet analysis and packet capture utilities.
  • Confident and goal-oriented attitude with an ability to set and meet short and long-term objectives.
  • Experience creating, utilizing, and maintaining technical documentation.
