Foundry Operative

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Foundry Operative to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for general store keeping and assisting with the manufacturing of foundry products. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating closely with colleagues across different sections of the foundry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting work in a safe, timely and efficient manner while maintaining company values.
  • Planning daily output and ensuring all work is in accordance with work instructions.
  • Manufacturing moulds as per the work schedule and securing them ready for pouring.
  • Pouring moulds at the correct temperature and clearing them from the pouring floor in a timely manner.
  • Knocking out sand moulds safely and productively.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong safety record and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift Licence (desirable).
