Student Support Specialist

This role is a key part of our school's commitment to the holistic development of students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting young people and be able to respond with empathy and creativity to diverse needs.

The Student Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of students by providing pastoral care services and fostering a supportive school community.

Key responsibilities include implementing wellbeing strategies, accompanying students on excursions, and coordinating volunteer activities that strengthen connections between students and their communities.

The successful candidate will engage with families through workshops and meetings, contributing to a whole-school approach to student care.

This position is suitable for someone with a strong understanding of social and emotional development in children, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.

Requirements
  • A completed Certificate IV Youth Work or equivalent qualification;
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A strong understanding of child development and learning principles;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
