Job Title: Credit Underwriting Specialist

As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the eligibility of clients or partners for our services.

The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to assess client applications, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide professional communication to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Application Review: Complete thorough reviews of client and partner applications to ensure department SLAs are met.
  • Risk Management: Ensure Know Your Customer (KYC) and related regulatory requirements are adhered to during the underwriting process.
  • Communication: Provide clear and effective communication to sales teams and business partners regarding decisions and data needs.
  • Fraud Detection: Monitor fraud alerts, investigate high-risk transactions, and implement rules to improve detection.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve workflows and processes to find efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualification: In Business or Finance.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience in a Commercial Credit Analyst role or similar in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Skillset: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency across the MS Office suite.
