Senior Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Specialist to support our migration to a full acquirer stack managed by FIS as part of its Merchant Modernisation program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data analysis and possess strong technical skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • • Conduct deep-dive analysis into customer, transaction, and product data to support migration readiness and identify remediation needs.
  • • Design and maintain migration tracking tools, exception reports, and risk flags.
  • • Collaborate with product and operations teams to resolve data discrepancies or transformation logic.
  • • Validate source-target mapping across legacy and new systems.
  • • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with governance rules.
  • • Partner with Data Management teams on standard definitions and lineage tracking.
  • • Lead data mapping activities between legacy and target systems, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • • Build and validate files (or equivalent migration input files) to support phased customer transitions.
  • • Coordinate with developers and testers to ensure data mapping logic is accurately implemented and quality assured.
  • • Automate data processing pipelines and reporting workflows using Python and SQL.
  • • Build modular scripts and parameterized frameworks for batch processing and auditing.
  • • Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Streamlit to provide stakeholders with real-time insights.
  • • Design scalable reporting solutions for tracking remediation progress, and migration waves.
  • • Translate technical outputs into clear business insights for senior stakeholders.
  • • Facilitate discussions with multiple teams (product, operations, vendors, risk, compliance).
  • • Write business-friendly documentation for data logic, assumptions, and findings.
