Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specimen Collector to contribute to our pathology collection service across various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venepuncture and other specimen collection duties, ensuring accurate data entry, processing, and delivery into sites for pathology investigations.
  • Certificate III in Pathology Collections or relevant experience in venepuncture, with the ability to learn all aspects of the clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, including effective communication with patients, carers, and clinical staff.
  • Familiarity with pathology terminology and requirements, with a willingness to learn a broad scope of collection practices.

Requirements:

  • Unencumbered Class C Driver's License or capacity to travel to any site for a shift as required.
  • Will to participate in shift-type work, including weekend work and travel to various locations within the operational area.
  • Ability to manage a demanding team environment with competing priorities and strict deadlines.
