Leading a QC laboratory is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring product safety, quality and compliance. A strong understanding of food science and analytical techniques is essential for this position. As a Quality Control Chemist, you will be responsible for carrying out chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products
  • Coordinating external testing with third-party labs
  • Generating Certificates of Analysis, reports and accurate data entry
  • Maintaining and calibrating lab equipment
  • Supporting hygiene checks, GMP audits and solution preparation

Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Food Science, Applied Science or related discipline
  • Hands-on QC/analytical lab experience (food industry preferred)
  • Experience with GC equipment
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in a similar QC or analytical lab role (food industry preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of OH&S, HACCP and GMP
  • IT savvy, with excellent time management and communication skills
