Wind Energy Reliability Specialist

Job Description:

At the forefront of Australia's energy transition, we are seeking a skilled professional to play a pivotal role in maximising the performance of our wind portfolio. This exciting opportunity will see you at the centre of our efforts to ensure our assets operate safely, efficiently, and with maximum availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct FMECA and reliability reviews to inform strategy development.
  • Monitor and interpret condition monitoring data and turbine performance trends.
  • Analyse real-time and historical operational data in collaboration with the Operations Diagnostics Centre.
  • Own and develop asset intelligence systems to track performance trends.
  • Collaborate with OEMs, research partners, Asset Services, and site teams to address systemic reliability challenges.
  • Assess and apply emerging technologies (drones, digital twins, AI-based analytics) to enhance asset management.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who can apply reliability engineering principles and asset management practices to improve performance across distributed assets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience applying Reliability Engineering techniques and Asset Management principles.
  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements and their practical application.
  • Ability to provide clear technical support to diverse and geographically spread teams.
  • Well-developed analytical skills, including root cause analysis and performance diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Possess or be eligible/willing to obtain Chartered Registration with Engineers Australia.
