Housing Tenancy Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Tenancy Coordinator to join our team in Alice Springs, NT. This is a pivotal role within our Homelessness Stream, where you will oversee tenancy support and property maintenance for men's homelessness and family transitional programs.

About the Position

This role requires the ideal candidate to establish effective working relationships with key staff, maintain regular communication, and proactively manage grounds keeping while respecting residents' rights and privacy.

  • Manage and monitor participant agreements including rental inspections, rent ledgers, and maintenance.
  • Establish professional relationships with residents and provide support as needed.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing tenancy support services to residents, including assistance with household management and daily living skills.
  • Maintaining accurate records of resident agreements, including rental inspections and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinating property maintenance and repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve resident outcomes and address any issues that may arise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Community Services or relevant work experience at an equivalent level.
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in a similar position.
  • Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language.
  • Sound computer literacy in common applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A Working with Children (Ochre Card) Vulnerable people check is required.
  • Ability and willingness to be on call and work outside normal business hours, as required.
  • A current NT Drivers Licence.
