Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Policy Specialist to oversee our Group Tax function at our Head Office in Melbourne. The successful candidate will establish and maintain tax policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory and reporting requirements.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Oversight of Group Tax function
  • Manage ANZ Direct and Indirect taxation responsibilities for the company
  • Ensure all required taxation returns and reports are prepared in compliance with various taxation regulations
  • Oversight of Group Taxation policies and procedures
  • Providing tax effect accounting reporting to support internal and external reporting requirements
  • Support internal and external audit functions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business/Commerce
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Proven experience in a tax advisory/compliance role
  • Ability to perform in-depth tax research and legislative analysis
  • Strong communication & influencing skills
  • Experience in planning and organisation of workflow to meet critical deadlines
  • SAP system experience an advantage
