About the Role
The Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Meshki plays a pivotal role in integrating sustainability deeply into our brand's DNA. You will lead the efforts in environmentally conscious product development, ethical sourcing, and fostering a culture of responsibility across the company. Through innovation and strategic partnerships, you will help shape a more sustainable future for the fashion industry, making an impact that extends beyond our products to touch the communities and environments we operate in.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy aligning with Meshki's core values and industry best practices.
- Continuously evolve CSR and sustainability policies, ensuring Meshki leads in key areas of passion.
- Create and manage a detailed Sustainability Roadmap for short-term and long-term initiatives.
- Oversee ethical sourcing initiatives, focusing on transparency, sustainability, and fair labor practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enforce sustainable practices and materials usage across the supply chain.
- Lead sustainable product development while balancing commerciality.
- Enhance compliance with environmental regulations, focusing on reducing Meshki's carbon footprint.
- Integrate sustainability and CSR into Meshki's brand story and marketing initiatives.
- Develop and lead community engagement programs, positively impacting local and global communities.
- Establish and refine metrics to assess and report on the impact of CSR and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies within the fashion or retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of CSR, sustainability practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in ethical sourcing and supply chain management with a focus on transparency and sustainability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead sustainable product development and lifecycle management.
- Expertise in environmental stewardship, including carbon footprint reduction and renewable energy initiatives.
- Experience in brand integration of sustainability and CSR, enhancing customer engagement and brand reputation.
- Strong background in community engagement and social impact initiatives.
- Proficiency in measuring and reporting on sustainability metrics and creating comprehensive ESG reports.
- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in CSR and sustainability practices.
- Commercial acumen with a clear understanding of how sustainability efforts contribute to brand value and operational efficiency.
