Maintenance and Grounds Officer Role

We are seeking a suitably qualified professional to fill this key position at our institution.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out minor maintenance tasks with relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Performing physical tasks such as bending, heavy lifting, and working in various conditions (indoor/outdoor/heights).
  • Understanding reticulation systems, including installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Operating and maintaining gardening and maintenance machinery and equipment safely, adhering to WHS expectations.
  • Basic computer literacy for accessing the institution's maintenance database system.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of the community.
  • Self-motivated initiative and problem-solving skills within the scope of the role.
  • Ability to work and contribute positively to a team environment.
  • Prioritizing and taking responsibility for tasks with equal commitment.
  • Awareness of WHS procedures and issues.
  • Desirable qualifications and experiences include:
  • Qualifications and experience in building trades.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting.

Successful candidates must undergo child protection screening and adhere to the institution's child protection policies and staff code of conduct.
