Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrated Service Delivery: Provide accountable and collaborative child protection services for intricate cases, respecting the cultural and contextual backgrounds of each child, young person, family, and community, in accordance with departmental policies and statutory obligations.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Engage in high-quality, strengths-based child protection practices as part of a multi-disciplinary team, which may include representatives from various agencies, focusing on assessment, intervention, casework, and complex case management.
  • Professional Relationships: Build and maintain culturally appropriate, professional relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, including children, young people, families, NGOs, and other service providers.
  • Quality Service Delivery: Promote a culture of excellence in frontline service delivery through collaboration, commitment, and adherence to professional ethics.
  • Case Management: Ensure high-quality case documentation in compliance with departmental case management standards.
  • Continuous Development: Engage in ongoing learning, training, and professional development to keep practice knowledge and skills current and evidence-based.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to strategies aimed at continuous quality enhancement.
  • Mentorship: Utilize professional experience in relevant child protection fields to coach and mentor new and less experienced Child Safety Officers, fostering their skill development.
