About the Role

This permanent position involves working in our Theatre Department at our Fitzroy campus, with flexibility in available work hours- Monday to Saturday – AM & PM shifts rostered. The successful candidate will also participate in our On Call Roster system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective cleaning and processing of flexible endoscopes to prevent transmission of health care associated infections and minimize infection and prevention and control risks.
  • Complete HICMR assessment through observational and verbal assessment of appropriate practice by correctly processing all scopes within the unit.
  • Maintain micro testing schedule for scopes and sterilisation systems, demonstrating a solid knowledge base of scan care tracking sterilisation system.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certificate III Sterilisation services.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Prior experience working in a Sterilising Unit and/or reprocessing endoscopes.
  • Good computer skills and ability to use relevant software systems.
