Delivering complex infrastructure projects within the Defence sector requires a high level of expertise and strategic thinking.

About the Role
  • You will lead and manage infrastructure projects through all lifecycle stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • The role involves ensuring procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and managing project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and APP Group standards.
  • A strong stakeholder relationship manager is required to build and maintain effective relationships through proactive engagement.
  • This position involves delivering projects on time and within budget, focusing on risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Responsibilities include overseeing handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensuring timely project closeout, as well as capturing and sharing lessons learned to improve future project delivery.
About You
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • A current Baseline Security Clearance is necessary, and applicants should be able to maintain this clearance.
  • Proven experience in managing construction projects, ideally within the Defence or Government sector, is essential.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile is also required.
  • A strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards is crucial for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are necessary to excel in this position.
