Job Opportunity: Workshop Supervisor

The successful candidate will lead a team of technicians in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors, and plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and guide the workshop team to ensure optimal performance
  • Effectively diagnose and repair modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment
  • Prioritize urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to guarantee all machinery remains service-ready and compliant
  • Manage procurement and inventory processes, including ordering parts, tracking stock, and overseeing administration tasks
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation
  • Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, contractors, logistics teams, and operations staff
  • Enforce safety protocols, including inductions, procedures, and contractor oversight
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified diesel mechanic with an HR driver's license (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated experience working with heavy vehicles and plant machinery
  • Strong procurement and inventory management skills
  • Competency with maintenance management systems and basic IT tools
  • A calm and adaptable approach under pressure
  • Proven leadership experience, managing both employees and subcontractors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison abilities
