On behalf of my clients operating in the Australian Defence Sector,

I am urgently seeking an experienced Project Manager with NV1 clearance for a long-term day rate contract role based in Canberra.

Main Duties:
  • Support the Project Manager in setting work priorities, workflows, and work packages for project personnel.
  • Assist the team in delivering milestones within cost, budget, and scope.
  • Plan, schedule, and estimate work/tasks to meet Defence requirements.
  • Prepare project documentation including strategies, plans, schedules, and estimates, and assist with review processes.
  • Provide expert project management, professional, and policy advice to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and facilitate briefings, workshops, presentations, and reports for management and Defence stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, or policy development, offering advice on innovation and business improvement.
  • Assist in drafting briefs, complex correspondence, reports, and submissions for board/committee review, including monthly project performance reporting.
  • Support the development and maintenance of processes for effective project governance.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams for specific tasks, setting work priorities and workflows.
  • Support complex procurement activities, including reviewing solicitation documentation.
Key Skills / Experience:
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in a similar Defence sector role, involving the duties listed above.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • NV1 clearance or higher is MANDATORY.
  • Ability to work full-time in Canberra.
