Occupational Hygiene Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Hygiene Specialist to join our national team in Perth. This role involves conducting health and hygiene risk assessments, creating management plans and operating industry-related equipment for sampling.

About the Position
  • Conduct comprehensive health and hygiene risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation
  • Create and implement effective health and hygiene management plans to ensure a safe working environment
  • Operate and execute industry-related equipment for fibre, dust, weld fume and volatile organic compound sampling
  • Conduct noise surveys and noise dosimetry to assess and mitigate workplace noise exposure
  • Project manage hygiene monitoring programs to ensure timely and accurate data collection
  • Research occupational hygiene issues and provide solutions to support business objectives

Key Requirements
  • A postgraduate qualification in Occupational Hygiene or a related field
  • Full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH) or equivalent international organisation
  • Candidates with CIH and International Certificate in Occupational Hygiene (ICertOH) or equivalent international qualifications are highly regarded
  • High flexibility with working arrangements, including site travel according to client requirements
  • Willingness to learn and be mentored by experienced professionals; guide and mentor junior staff as required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels
