About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Central Coast Council as a Senior Planning Engineer, where you will play a key role in shaping the future of water systems. As a member of our dynamic and customer-focused team, you will have the chance to utilize your expertise in water and wastewater treatment planning to drive innovation and deliver high-quality services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision of Water and Sewerage services to the community through strategic planning and asset management.
  • Develop and implement effective planning strategies to manage asset risks, deliver required levels of service, and ensure whole-of-life costs for water supply and sewerage assets.
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Engineering or a related field, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Current Class C Driver's licence.
  • Construction Induction Card.
  • Considerable experience in asset management and planning within a water business-related area is essential, with water industry experience in project delivery highly desirable.
  • Wide-ranging understanding of the operation of water and sewerage assets, including treatment and distribution.
  • Experience in the application of hydraulic modeling and asset management tools, including GIS, to aid project investigations.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $99.7k - $119.6k, plus market loading, plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance, plus 11.5% superannuation, plus vehicle allowance.
  • A permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight.
