Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology/Palliative Care ward team. As a Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical care that prioritizes patient needs and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients and their families in the Oncology/Palliative Care ward.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet patient needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as an RN with at least 12 months post-registration experience in an acute care setting.
- Strong interest in oncology, haematology, and palliative care, with experience in these areas viewed favourably.
- Demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in professionally communicating with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work a full-time rotating roster.
- Full Australian working rights.
