Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Casual Optical Assistant. At Bailey Nelson, we strive to change how customers see the world and themselves.

As an Optical Assistant, you'll channel your passion into delivering exceptional customer experiences every day.

  • You'll work closely with our leadership team, who genuinely care about our people's engagement and development.
  • You'll have access to our comprehensive learning platform to stay up-to-date on all things related to our business and streamline training and communication.
  • Additionally, you'll receive a generous allowance to enjoy the latest products both in and out of store.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Customer experience: previous customer service experience in retail or hospitality industries where customer needs are met through great interactions and exceptional service.
  • Optical experience: while previous experience is beneficial, if you're willing to learn, please apply.
  • Passion: a genuine passion for creating amazing customer experiences and solving their eyecare and eyewear needs.
  • Energy: a love for working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change with a positive attitude.
  • Effectiveness: ability to manage time and operational requirements without compromising customer experience.
  • Problem-solving: using critical thinking and product/optics knowledge to help solve customer vision problems.
  • Teamwork: building strong relationships with fellow team members, including management, optometrists, and support office staff.
  • Drive: achieving results through excellent customer service and having flexible availability across weekdays and weekends.
