Bailey Nelson is looking for an Optical Assistant to join our store in Highpoint, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in meeting customers' frame styling and eyecare needs.

To succeed in this role, you should be able to channel your passion and commitment into delivering outstanding outcomes for both our customers and the store. This involves using critical thinking and product/optics knowledge to help solve customer vision problems and achieve the best outcome for every customer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all customers
  • Working closely with optometrists and support staff to deliver high-quality eyewear solutions
  • Utilizing product knowledge to recommend frames and lenses that meet customers' needs and preferences
  • Managing operational requirements and prioritizing tasks to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Contributing to a dynamic and inclusive work environment by fostering strong relationships with colleagues and promoting teamwork

Requirements for success in this role include:

  • Previous customer service experience within retail, hospitality, or similar industries where customer needs are met through great interactions, product recommendations, and exceptional service
  • A genuine passion for creating amazing customer experiences and delivering outstanding results
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to adapt to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals
  • Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills as needed
