Our organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Lifestyle Assistant. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care.
About the OpportunityThis dynamic role involves planning and implementing individual and group activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents. You will work collaboratively with care staff and families to tailor activities that promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and physical health.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging activity programs that foster resident participation and enjoyment.
- Collaborate with care staff and families to ensure personalized care plans are met.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and feedback.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' behavior or mood.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Essential Requirements:
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity in planning meaningful activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of dementia and other age-related conditions.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining, the following:
- Valid NDIS clearance.
- Certificate in First Aid and CPR.
- A minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role within the aged care sector.
