Electrical Engineering Management Opportunity

The successful Electrical Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring electrical maintenance activities are compliant with statutory requirements, and equipment reliability is optimised to minimise operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the mine's electrical engineering activities, including statutory obligations, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintaining electrical maintenance practices in accordance with company procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Development and implementation of the Electrical Engineering Management Plan (EEMP).
  • Controlling the design and execution of electrical work and installations.
  • Overseeing weekly work schedules to prevent unscheduled downtime.
  • Driving electrical performance to improve equipment reliability.
  • Providing technical advice to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining strong relationships across the mine site to align work plans with business goals.
Lifestyle and Benefits

This position offers a 9-day fortnight roster, allowing for a residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Residential employees may be eligible for a $15,000 housing allowance and salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.

About You
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar coal mine environment.
  • Hold current EEM certification, electrical trade qualifications, high voltage switching, EEHA Hazardous areas, and mining supervisory competencies.
  • A post-trade engineering qualification is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to foster a positive safety culture.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems, SAP, and Microsoft Project is highly desirable.
  • A sound knowledge of Master Data is also desirable.
