Job Title: Electrician Technician

Overview:

The Daunia Mine is a high-performing operation in Queensland's Bowen Basin.

This mine produces premium metallurgical coal for global export since 2013 and features advanced infrastructure and autonomous haulage technology.

As an Electrician Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

You will perform diagnostics to ensure autonomous equipment operates safely and efficiently.

This role involves working in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with site personnel to achieve safety and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and supporting autonomous mining systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on autonomous vehicles while collaborating with site operational teams and third-party support.
  • Conducting routine diagnostics and upgrades to improve system efficiency, safety, and performance.
  • Communicating effectively with maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment availability and reliability.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and contributing to a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Trade qualification in Auto Electrical or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with autonomous mining equipment and exposure to Caterpillar truck fleet 797F, 793F, 785D.
  • Certification in CAT Command for Hauling as well as experience with CAT Terrain and the CAT Minestar Fleet Management System.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for driving improvements to Autonomous Haulage Systems.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • A positive attitude, an appetite to learn, and a desire to be part of a collaborative team culture.
