Indigenous Science Coordinator

The position of Indigenous Research Project Officer is available at Australia's leading scientific research organisation.
This role will provide high-level coordination, administrative and project support for a national Indigenous Science initiative within biodiversity and digital infrastructure platforms.
The successful candidate will contribute to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges, voices, and leadership into national research infrastructure and environmental science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander reference group and CSIRO advisory group.
- Bulk a reliable relationship with Indigenous communities and knowledge holders.
- Contribute towards broad systemic change by ensuring Indigenous perspectives are embedded into data governance, digital collections, and research policies.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination or administrative support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work respectfully and collaboratively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- A genuine interest in Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural engagement, and Indigenous-led science.
- Experience working in or supporting project governance structures.
