- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging performances that combine precision cooking with guest interaction, showcasing authentic Japanese culinary expertise.
- Prepare and present dishes to high culinary standards, focusing on Teppanyaki artistry.
- Lead and train junior chefs, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency across kitchen operations.
- Support menu planning and seasonal reviews, as well as guest feedback initiatives.
- Monitor food quality, stock control, portioning, and cost management, ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, and WHS standards at all times.
- Contribute to banquets, events, and special functions as required, working effectively in a fast-paced environment with flexibility across evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in a premium dining or luxury hotel environment is essential.
- For Teppanyaki roles: Proven expertise in Teppanyaki showmanship, guest engagement, and authentic Japanese cooking techniques is required.
- Certificate in Food Safety Handling or willingness to obtain is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary for delivering memorable dining experiences.
