Job Title:

Risk Management Expertise in Banking Sector

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Audit Compliance professional to join our organization in a 2nd Line of Defense Risk Compliance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the annual assurance plan, ensuring alignment to Group Risk Compliance strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the annual assurance plan for core business units and ensure alignment to Group Risk Compliance strategy
  • Perform independent reviews on key business controls as a dedicated 2nd Line of Defense function
  • Apply audit assurance knowledge to understand all controls and run assurance testings according to Group risk management program and strategy
  • Document findings and deliver assurance opinions, collaborating with stakeholders when necessary
  • Assist with embedding key risk monitoring control practices into the business
  • Maintain a cohesive working relationship with key stakeholders
  • Collate and consolidate materials for management committee meetings
  • Act as a people leader for the team, providing ongoing feedback and guidance

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years hands-on assurance experience in banking or professional services, with expertise in designing, executing and reviewing scopes and reports
  • Experienced in developing and implementing Risk Compliance frameworks in large organizations
  • Superior ability to articulate and socialize findings, influence and obtain buy-in at GM level
  • Demonstrated ability and confidence in presenting to Group Executives and Risk Committees
  • Updated understanding of regulatory landscape applicable to Australian banks
  • Relevant qualifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFA or FRM, with an MBA desirable
