Senior Assurance Professional – Banking and Wealth

This role involves managing risk within a Non-Financial Risk Assurance team based in Sydney. A successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the company’s risk and control environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and test controls, identifying areas for improvement to manage material risks and report findings in written reports.
  • Lead a program of work to uplift specific controls related to Banking and Wealth, supporting business teams to manage their risks and collaborate with stakeholders to understand end-to-end processes.
  • Provide strategic advice to optimize management of risks, develop relationships with key stakeholders and share learnings across the organization to drive best practice.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in Operational Risk, Internal Audit or Assurance, preferably in Banking and Wealth.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, industry practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Commercial acumen to provide valued insights and strategic direction.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data analytics skills are valuable.

This is a senior-level assurance role requiring a high degree of commercial awareness and ability to lead complex programs. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization.
