Water Safety and Aquatic Education Instructor Opportunity

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Water Safety and Aquatic Education Instructor to deliver high-quality aquatic education and water safety programs to students of all ages. The ideal candidate will be able to plan and teach engaging lessons that cater to the needs of participants, with a focus on safety and variety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and adjust lesson plans to ensure student progress and engagement.
  • Organise and monitor teaching equipment to maintain a safe and well-maintained learning environment.
  • Assist in providing a customer-oriented environment and promoting teamwork and communication.

Requirements:

  • A passion for teaching swimming and water safety is essential.
  • No previous teaching experience is necessary, but flexibility and willingness to work a 7-day rotating roster across multiple facilities are required.
  • Required Qualifications include: Current Australian Swimming & Water Safety qualification, Current CPR Certificate, NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Desired Qualifications include: Experience in swim teaching/coaching at all levels from Infants to Squads, First aid certificate, Current Australian Teacher of Infant & Preschool qualification, and others.
