Emergency Department Physiotherapy Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Rapid Assessment, Intervention and Discharge Team in the Emergency Department.
About the Role:This position focuses on preventing hospital admissions from the Emergency Department and facilitating early discharges through timely allied health intervention.
- Work with our multidisciplinary team to plan, coordinate, and implement comprehensive clinical expertise and extensive specialized knowledge within the ED environment for complex cases.
- Collaborate with existing medical, nursing, and community teams in Western Sydney Local Health District to provide high-quality patient care.
- Clinical experience in Physiotherapy, specifically working in emergency departments or as a primary contact practitioner treating patients with chronic and complex conditions.
- Advanced post-graduate clinical experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and demonstrated core competency skills in Cardiorespiratory, orthopaedic, gerontology, and Neurological Physiotherapy.
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Significant clinical experience in Physiotherapy, preferably in emergency departments, with expertise in treating challenging patients with complex conditions.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete, and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes, driving ongoing quality improvement activities within the team.
