Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team. As a highly skilled Finance Officer/Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of the business.

This is a busy and hands-on position covering accounting through to 6 monthly external Accountant reviews. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of accounts management including but not limited to;

  • Assessing and implementing software to streamline accounting functions
  • Completing the finance implementation of Odoo (ERP)
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable & credit control
  • Overseeing cash flow, preparation and lodgement of BAS, weekly payroll, reconciling credit cards, bank accounts, loan accounts and general ledger
  • Preparing end of month processes and journals, weekly, monthly and annual reporting, engagement with external accountants, business insurance requirements, budgeting and director expense management

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with great systems, enjoy streamlined processes that enable you to complete your work seamlessly, and benefit from state-of-the-art facilities including on-site parking and great coffee.

The hours are also flexible with the option of working up to 32 hours per week across 4 days if you would like a Friday off, or 5 days with flexible start and finish times (between 7am and 5pm). Wednesday is a critical working day in the office - payroll day.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are ideally seeking the following skills and experience:

  • Accounting qualifications welcome but not essential
  • Experience in a similar position with strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • ERP system experience essential i.e. Odoo, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, JDE etc
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong MS Office skills
