We are seeking a skilled Automated Warehouse Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will be located in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and work on one of our largest and most innovative automated warehousing solutions ever built.
The site features cutting-edge equipment such as storage and retrieval cranes, conveyor belts, robotic arms for pallet-building, and AGV forklifts that seamlessly transport pallets around the facility.
Main Responsibilities:
- Respond to operational issues, error notifications, blockages, alarms, and warnings.
- Exchange and refill consumables like foil, labels, and cartons.
- Communicate effectively with relevant teams to ensure smooth operations and minimize disruptions for our customers.
- Monitor equipment and guide client staff on proper machine processes and operations.
- Clear system issues or blockages, perform low-risk repairs like fixing pneumatic leaks, replacing filters, and aligning or replacing sensors.
Requirements:
- A highly motivated individual who's eager to learn quickly.
- A mechanical or electrical knack and basic problem-solving skills are a plus.
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Warehouse experience and a current forklift license are beneficial but not essential.
- Physical fitness is required.
- Must be either an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have Australian Permanent Residency with unrestricted work rights.
Work Arrangement:
- You'll work on a rotating 4 on / 4 off schedule, which includes two 12-hour day shifts, followed by two 12-hour night shifts, and then enjoy four consecutive days off.
