About the Role

This is a Part Time (FTE 0.6) Management Accountant position that will work closely with other members of the Calvary Adelaide Hospital Finance team, providing support to the Financial Controller.

Main duties include:

  • Preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other Month End tasks to assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts to Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet stage.
  • Assistance in the preparation of Financial Year Budgets and forecasting, including liaising with cost centre managers to develop expense and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Maintenance of the company Fixed Asset Register, including capitalization of assets and disposal of assets, and maintenance of the Capital Expenditure register for management review.
About You

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce and major in accounting, with preferred CPA or CA qualifications and proven experience in a similar role.

Experience in the preparation of budgets and a broad knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards and principles are essential.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and strong financial and analytical skills with appropriate experience with financial and IT systems are required.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to adhere to strict timelines while managing integrity and accuracy of data are necessary.
