Child Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with families to assess needs and develop tailored intervention plans, assisting them in implementing strategies and accessing resources.
- Utilise a coaching approach with families to empower them to achieve their goals.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, comprising Early Childhood Education Specialists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and Allied Health Assistants, to support individual consumer caseloads.
- Provide direct occupational therapy support and strategies to children aged 7-12 years.
- Participate in monthly graduate meetings for case study review, professional development, and peer support.
- Engage in fortnightly supervisions/mentoring sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Effectively manage your work schedule to meet service delivery targets.
- Tertiary qualified in Occupational Therapy with current and ongoing registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated ability to assess children from 0 to 12 with various clinical and developmental needs and work collaboratively with other team members.
- Capacity to build trusting relationships with children, families, and the Early Intervention and Therapy Service team.
- Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe, and accessible.
- Ability to manage own caseload to meet consumer needs and team service delivery targets.
