About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at our Kooragang Island manufacturing site in NSW.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational health, including relevant certifications and experience in health monitoring, drug and alcohol testing and return-to-work program management.
The role involves working closely with our onsite and regional teams and other health professionals to provide comprehensive occupational health services to our workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Treating acute injuries and illnesses in the workplace;
Coordinating periodic medicals for the site and supporting pre-employment medicals;
Performing health assessment monitoring to company standards;
Managing return-to-work programs in conjunction with other healthcare providers and line managers;
Supporting workers' compensation and rehabilitation processes;
Coordinating and supporting the site's drug and alcohol testing program;
SUPPORTING HEALTH EDUCATION, DISEASE PREVENTION STRATEGIES AND WELLBEING PROGRAMS;
Applying skills in occupational medicine, hygiene, ergonomics, toxicology, and safety;
Maintaining health records in line with Orica's procedures and legislation.
