Postgraduate Fellow - Echocardiography

The Intensive Care Unit is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Postgraduate Fellow in Echocardiography.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain proficiency in the performance and reporting of formal echocardiography studies, both transthoracic and transoesophageal. You will work closely with our experienced team to develop your skills and contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care.

This role involves 50% clinical duties and 50% Echocardiography-related duties. You will have opportunities to participate in Echocardiography-related research, quality assurance, and pursue higher qualifications under the guidance of our Echocardiography Program supervisors.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for performing and reporting formal echocardiography studies, including transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiograms.
  • You will work closely with our experienced team to develop your skills and contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care.
  • You will have opportunities to participate in Echocardiography-related research, quality assurance, and pursue higher qualifications.

Requirements

  • You must be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • You must possess Fellowship of or be eligible for Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
  • You must have evidence of a commitment to training and education in critical care echocardiography.
