The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 (CNC2) involves delivering high-level nursing services as an expert in the specialty field.

  • Providing comprehensive patient assessments, developing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with primary service providers to ensure evidence-based practice is utilised.

The CNC2 assumes responsibility for leading clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, and consultancy services within the Northern NSW region.

About this Role

As a CNC2, you will work collaboratively with nurses, midwives, medical officers, and primary service providers to facilitate linkages and relationships that support patient management.

This requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and significant experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical organisation and coordination of services within the Northern NSW region.
  • Provide leadership and consultancy services to support patient management.
  • Facilitate linkages and relationships between nurses, midwives, medical officers, and primary service providers.
