School Crossing Supervisor Role Overview


As a School Crossing Supervisor at Transport for NSW, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of school children and the community.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide safe and efficient traffic control services at school crossings
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and local authorities to promote road safety awareness
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize the risk of accidents
  • Monitor and report on road safety incidents and trends
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

About the Role:


This is a casual position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work at various school crossings across the Tweed Local Government Area.


Requirements:



  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment
