We are looking for skilled professionals to fill the role of Building Maintenance Unit Operators.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating BMUs to provide access to trades personnel and window cleaners on high rise commercial buildings. Additionally, they will train and induct trades personnel and window cleaners to operate BMUs, ensuring all personnel follow safe practices to ensure the safety of themselves, colleagues and clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • BMU Operation: Provide access to trades personnel and window cleaners on high rise commercial buildings using BMUs.
  • Training and Induction: Train and induct trades personnel and window cleaners to operate BMUs safely and efficiently.
  • Safety Management: Ensure all personnel follow safe practices to ensure the safety of themselves, colleagues and clients.
  • Operational Efficiency: Troubleshoot any operational issues of BMUs and learn operation instructions for a range of different BMUs and platforms.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous BMU Operating experience is not essential, but a willingness to be trained is required.
  • Safety Focus: Safety and care must be a priority and focus whilst on the job.
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written English communication skills are necessary.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit, with some heavy lifting involved.
