Technical Support Professional Sought

We are seeking a highly skilled technical support professional to join our team. As a technical support specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert technical assistance services to the Department of Education through the Technical Support to Schools Program.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including:

  • Managing and servicing Windows and Apple devices on an enterprise scale
  • Administration and support of Hyper-V virtualized server environments
  • Administration of various Windows and Linux-based servers
  • Cloud-based service management and administration (Google and Microsoft Services)
  • Mobile Device Management administration and deployment
  • High-level enterprise network administration skills required – Cisco and HP switches
  • Administration of Cisco wireless network technologies, including wireless controllers and access points

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for candidates with excellent language and communication skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team as required.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency
  • Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent human relations and people skills with a passion for ICT
  • Strong technical documentation skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
  • Systematic troubleshooting and fault-finding based on prior experience

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from $90,000–$110,000 (pro-rata 40 hours/week, 46 weeks/year) and other benefits, including company vehicle, training and development opportunities.

As a technical support specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring seamless technical support services across the Department of Education.
