
Maternal Child Health Specialist

As a Maternal Child Health Nurse, you will work closely with families to provide expert advice and support in promoting healthy outcomes for children and their families.
The role involves providing comprehensive care and guidance through the critical foundational years of each family, focusing on physical, emotional, and social factors affecting families in contemporary communities.
You will be responsible for promoting healthy practices, providing timely and accurate information, and resources to assist families achieve and maintain maximum health potential.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal & Child Health
- Commitment to family-centered practice within an integrated early years' service mode
- Awareness of child and family health issues, normal child development, family dynamics, and promotion of maternal well-being
- Familiarity with MCH & immunization programs across Boroondara
- Demonstrated awareness of smalltalk, Parent Child Mother Goose, and Circle of Security programs
- Ability to use computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, icope, and CDIS
This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) fixed-term 12-month position with a competitive salary package, plus superannuation.
