This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Maternal and Child Health service as a skilled and dedicated Maternal Child Health Nurse.
You will be responsible for providing high-quality child and family health focused services to our diverse community.
As part of our friendly and professional team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families and children.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver a comprehensive Maternal and Child Health program based on the Key Age and Stage Service Activity Framework.
- Monitor maternal and family health and wellbeing during home and centre-based visits, providing expert advice and support as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver flexible and responsive services that meet the needs of our community.
- Maintain accurate records and data using our CDIS system, ensuring compliance with Department of Health guidelines.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, with a qualification in Maternal and Child Health nursing (Postgraduate or higher).
- Strong knowledge of MCH service delivery, including the Maternal and Child Health Key Ages and Stages Framework.
- Ability to develop effective parenting and health education group programs.
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable families and providing tailored support and guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
