Maternal and Child Health Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Maternal and Child Health Specialist to join our team in delivering Victoria's MCH service. The successful candidate will work with children from birth to school age and their families within the Bayside community, focusing on the promotion of health and development, prevention, early detection of, and intervention for physical, emotional, and social factors affecting young children and their families.
The specialist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, local government agencies, and community groups to provide high-quality care that is responsive to the needs of individuals and communities.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a commitment to maintaining a positive and enjoyable workplace culture that promotes universal access and participation.
- Current registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1, Registered Midwife and hold a tertiary qualification in Child, Family & Community Health (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Maternal & Child Health (MCH) evidence-based practice, including up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge of women's health, family and child health and development, and relevant community resources
- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring service delivery is a quality and safe service, ensuring a high level of care is provided to families and children
