About this Role

This position requires a highly skilled V&V Activity Lead for Defence Projects to lead and manage V&V activities across business units. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in V&V activities, preferably in the defence industry delivering complex large-scale programs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage V&V activities to ensure they are planned, resourced, and executed to meet objectives.
  • Develop and review V&V deliverables, including CDRLs, for on-time delivery to customers.
  • Contribute to project deliverables with V&V input.
  • Lead Test Readiness Reviews with customers for V&V events.
  • Ensure timely execution of all V&V activities.
  • Collaborate with the broader engineering and project team to rectify any failures during V&V activities.
  • Maintain System Safety and safe engineering work practices throughout V&V activities.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver V&V outcomes for Hanwha and its customers.
  • Ensure V&V activities are completed within agreed schedules and budgets.

About You

  • You hold tertiary qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline.
  • Qualifications in Verification and Validation are desirable.
  • You meet Engineers Australia criteria for Chartered Professional Engineer, which is desirable.
  • You have professional experience in V&V activities, preferably in the defence industry delivering complex large-scale programs.
  • You have knowledge of military standards and regulations related to vehicle development, which is desirable.
  • You possess strong knowledge of V&V principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • You can effectively manage relationships and resolve disputes with internal/external stakeholders.
  • You have a meticulous approach to work, identifying potential risks and issues proactively.
  • You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to meet organisational needs.
