Overview

The Civil Engineering Group Supervisor role involves conducting field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's civil aspects.

You will lead design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil components and processes ensuring the unique and complex requirements of a project's civil/structural aspects are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and conducts independent Civil work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of Civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium-size project or assignment.
  • Leads the design, development, modification, and evaluation of Civil components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.
  • Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries.
  • Determines the appropriate use of various civil elements such as earthworks, pavement, rock, concrete etc. to ensure appropriate material is used based on project requirements.
  • Origates and checks complex Civil engineering deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
  • Liaises with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and contractors, to ensure that civil engineering work meets project requirements and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Working rights in Australia without employer sponsorship.
