Project Engineer

The role of a Project Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of projects. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as a Project Engineer.

This presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and the wider project team. As a Project Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities.
  • Managing subcontractors and suppliers, including contract administration and performance monitoring.
  • Overseeing quality control and ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Providing support for cost control and financial reporting.
  • Coordinating and reviewing project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and site problems.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Preparing progress reports and project updates.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer on building projects, ideally with exposure to large-scale or education sector projects.
  • A sound understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety and quality.
