Key Leadership Role for Mechanical Engineering Specialists

">About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director or Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our specialist team of dams mechanical engineers.

This is a key leadership role that will involve providing technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens, and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure.

You will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions and high-quality projects for our clients, and helping with the continued development of a robust, skilled, and motivated team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens, and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure.
  • Deliver innovative solutions and high-quality projects for our clients.
  • Help develop sustainable capability in our Australia based team and globally.
  • Lead and oversee delivery of quality technical solutions and successful project outcomes.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the mechanical engineering aspects of water storage dams.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a consulting environment, specifically in the design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks, and screens.
  • Hydropower experience will also be looked upon favorably.
  • Experience in risk assessments and dam safety inspections or condition assessments of hydromechanical plant.
