About this Role

We are seeking a seasoned Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. In this key position, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of inventory and logistics.

Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining effective relationships with vendors, reviewing contracts/agreements to ensure compliance with law and company policy, and negotiating terms.

You will also play a crucial role in managing personnel within the purchasing and expediting process to ensure business objectives are met.

Additionally, you will identify slow moving and obsolete inventory and develop strategies to deal with them. You will explore processes and freight options that represent cost savings to the company.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in inventory management/logistics;
  • Strong commercial understanding with ability to negotiate;
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in leading small teams;
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) including Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and exposure to deadlines;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • A positive work ethic and attitude.
